John (II) Hamrick - Nancy Hazelrigg

John (II) Hamrick was born in Prince William County by 1744. He was the oldest son of John Hamrick and Sarah [Stone?]. He married Nancy Hazelrigg in Prince William County by 1770. Nancy was the daughter of William Hazelrigg and Kitty Neavill.

 

In November of 1771, John acquired a 134 acre lease in Leeds Manor, Fauquier County, Virginia, near the present-day village of Hume, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. John's and Nancy's children included Nancy, William, Payton, Henry, Elizabeth, James, John (III), Daniel, and Elijah. John (II) and Nancy were founding members of the Thumb Run Baptist Church in Fauquier County. Nancy died around 1807-1808. John lived until June 1817. Their burial locations have not yet been found.
